ANN'S VANILLA FUDGE 
1 c. scalded milk
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. corn syrup
Dash of salt
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Stir into scalded milk the sugar, corn syrup and salt. Cook gently, stirring occasionally, from bottom to soft ball stage, 236 degrees. Remove from heat. Add butter. Cool to lukewarm without stirring. Add vanilla and beat until thick and no longer glossy. Stir in nuts and spread in buttered 8-inch square pan. Cut in squares.
