RED DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
Vanilla (about 1 tsp.)
1 c. boiling water

Cream together the sugar, cocoa and shortening. Blend in 2 beaten eggs. Add milk, soda, flour and vanilla. After ingredients are thoroughly mixed, add 1 cup boiling water. Pour into greased and floured 9"x13" pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
