LAVERNE'S HOT ROLLS | |
2 c. lukewarm water 1 pkg. yeast 1/2 c. sugar 4 tbsp. shortening, melted, not too hot 1 tsp. salt 6 c. flour Mix ingredients in a large bowl. The trick is don't put too much flour. The 6 cups flour includes what you'll use on dough board to work down. So kind of guess at it. Your dough should be kind of runny, not too thick. Let rise 1 hour. Work down into rolls. Put a little melted shortening in pan. Dab each roll in shortening. Let rise again. Bake at 350 degrees until done (about 20 to 30 minutes.) |
