1/2 lb. sliced bacon
1/2 lb. chicken livers
1 can water chestnuts
Cut the water chestnuts into thirds and stuff one piece inside a chicken liver. Wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around the liver and fasten with a toothpick. Place on a baking tray and bake in an oven preheated to 375 degrees for about 15-20 minutes or you can precook them for 10 minutes and place them under a broiler for 5 minutes when your ready to serve them.
Try a big shrimp instead of liver inside the bacon. Cook the shrimp first in boiling water and precook the bacon a little so you have less chance of over cooking the shrimp.
