PEANUT BRITTLE | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. water 3 c. raw peanuts 2 tsp. baking soda, slightly rounded 1/2 c. Karo syrup 1 tsp. paraffin wax 1 tsp. salt Bring sugar, syrup, water and wax to boil. Add raw peanuts and boil on medium until peanuts turn brown and syrup begins to darken (about 35 minutes). Stir often. Take directly off heat, add soda and salt. Stir fast. Pour onto aluminum foil and spread fast. |
