APPLESAUCE JAM CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. applesauce
2 eggs
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. jam or raisins
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. allspice
1 c. nuts

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Bake in tube pan. Frost with Brown Sugar Icing.

BROWN SUGAR ICING:

1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
2 c. confectioners' sugar

Add brown sugar to melted butter and boil over low heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add milk and stir until it comes to a boil. Cool to lukewarm. Then add confectioners' sugar. Beat until ready to spread.
