2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. walnuts
1 c. raisins
1 c. coconut
1 apple (grated)
1 c. blackberries

Mix all ingredients well. Pour into lightly greased 9 inch cake pans. Makes 3 layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

GLAZE:

2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. butter

Cook for 3 minutes. Add 2 teaspoons orange flavoring, glaze cake. Add to top of cake. Sprinkle walnuts, raisins, coconut and 1 grated apple.
