CORNMEAL BREAD 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
6 c. unsifted flour
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. water
Cornmeal if desired

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and soda. Heat liquids until very warm. Add liquids to dry mix - beat well. Stir in rest of flour to make batter stiff. Spoon into two 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch pans, greased. (If desired sprinkle cornmeal in bottom of pan and on top of loaf.) Let rise for 45 minutes in warm place. Bake 400 for 25 minutes. Remove from pan immediately.
