GERMAN PLUM CAKE | |
1/4 lb. butter 5 tbsp. sugar 1 c. flour 1 egg yolk 2 lbs. prune plums, pitted and slice each half into 4 sections Sift flour and mix sugar with it. Mix butter with hands into flour mixture. Add egg yolk. Press into baking dish. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lay plums in nice pattern on top of the crust. Bake at 375 degrees 20-30 minutes. If plums are hard, cover with aluminum foil for first 10-5 minutes. Serve with sugar sprinkled on top of ice cream. |
