MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. lard
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1 egg
1 c. molasses
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. baking soda
Flour

Mix in order given. Nuts and raisins can be added. These cookies can be made as drop or rolled cookies. To make drop cookies add flour until you have a stiff dough. For cookies to be cut, cool the dough a few hours. This makes a large batch of cookies. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until done.
