YUMMY RAISIN BARS | |
2 1/2 c. seedless raisins 3/4 c. water 1/2 c. sugar 3 tbsp. lemon juice 2 tbsp. cornstarch 3/4 c. soft butter 1 c. brown sugar, packed 1 3/4 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 c. rolled oats In a saucepan combine raisins, water, sugar, lemon juice and cornstarch. Cook over low heat, stirring until thick (cool). In a bowl combine butter with brown sugar. Add flour, soda, salt and rolled oats. In a 9 x 13 inch greased pan firmly press 1/2 of mixture. Spread cooled filling over top and cover with remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until light browned, cut into bars while warm. |
