CHOCOLATE OATMEAL COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
4 c. sugar
6 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. milk
1 c. peanut butter (crunchy or creamy)
2 tsp. vanilla
5 c. uncooked oats

Mix butter, sugar, cocoa, and milk in large, heavy saucepan over low heat until mixed well and butter is melted and smooth. Bring to a medium to hard boil, stirring constantly, and boil for 1 full minute. Remove from heat and add peanut butter; stir until smooth, then add vanilla. Next, add dry oats and stir until coated well. Drop by spoonful onto waxed paper. Cookies will harden as they cool. This recipe makes a large batch of cookies. It is easily halved for smaller amounts.
