QUICK PICKLES 
6 c. cucumbers, thinly slices
1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. vinegar
2 c. onions, thinly slices
1/2 tsp. salt

In a glass or crockery bowl, alternately layer cucumbers and onions. In a saucepan combine sugar, vinegar, salt, mustard seed, celery seed, and turmeric. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolved. Pour mixture over cucumbers and onions. Cool slightly then refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving. Stores up to 1 month in refrigerator.
