GRANDMA LENA'S OVERNIGHT ROLLS | |
1 c. lukewarm water 1 pkg. dry yeast 2 c. hot water 1 c. sugar 1 tbsp. salt 1/2 c. melted shortening 2 eggs, beaten 10 or more c. flour Dissolve yeast in warm water. Set aside. Mix hot water with sugar, salt, and shortening; leave set until lukewarm. Then add yeast mix and beaten eggs. Add flour and mix 4 p.m. Knead down at 6-7-8 and 9 p.m. At 10 p.m. fix as desired and put into pans. Cover with a towel and let stand overnight. In morning bake at 375 degrees until brown. Makes 4-5 dozen rolls. |
