MOLASSES RAISIN NUT BARS 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. molasses
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour
1/2 c. sweet milk
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins or dates

Cream butter; add sugar. Beat until fluffy; add beaten eggs. Sift flour with dry ingredients alternating with milk to first mixture. Add chopped nuts and fruit last. Spread in pan and bake in 350 degree oven. Cut in bars. Can frost with brown sugar frosting.
