RAW APPLE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
3 eggs
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. raw diced apples
1 c. raisins
1 c. walnuts

Dust apples, raisins, nuts with some flour, set aside. Blend oil, sugar and slightly beaten eggs. Sift together remaining flour, salt, soda and add to egg mixture. Fold in coated apples, nuts and raisins. Turn in 10 inch greased tube pan and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

SAUCE FOR CAKE:

1/2 c. buttermilk
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Combine milk, butter, sugar, vanilla, and soda, boil fast for 2 minutes. Pour over cake in pan while the cake is still hot. Leave in pan several hours.
