COLONIAL APPLE CRUMBLE PIE 
9-inch deep dish pie crust (I use Pillsbury)

FILLING:

3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of salt
6 cups sliced apples

TOPPING:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (1 stick) firm butter
1/2 cup brown sugar

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Mix filling in bowl with sliced apples. Then place coated apples in unbaked pie crust. Mix topping together until crumbly. Put on top of pie.

Bake at 425°F for 50 minutes.
