HOMEMADE CRACKERJACKS | |
1 c. popcorn, popped (should have about 6 cups popped corn) 2 c. packed brown sugar 1/2 c. white Karo 1/2 c. molasses 2 sticks butter 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 can peanuts (any size) Popcorn and place in a large roasting pan. In a heavy saucepan bring to a boil the brown sugar, Karo, molasses and butter. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add the baking soda. Pour this syrup over the popped corn. Stir gently while adding the peanuts. Bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. |
