BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter, room temperature
3 c. sugar
5 eggs, room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. orange peel
1 tsp. lemon extract
3 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
2/3 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the flavorings. Add sifted flour alternately with buttermilk to which soda has been added. Bake in tube pan (grease only the bottom) 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool 10 minutes. Start off in a cold oven.
