BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
3 c. sugar
6 egg yolks
2 tbsp. lemon flavoring
1 c. buttermilk (with 1 tsp. baking soda added)
3 c. flour
6 egg whites, beaten

Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and beat well. Add lemon flavoring; beat. Add alternately buttermilk and flour. fold egg whites into mixture. Bake in greased tube pan for 1 hour 20 minutes at 275 degrees.
