BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1 c. Crisco cream with 3 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
6 eggs, one at a time
Put 1/4 tsp. baking soda in 1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. salt

Grease tube pan. Alternate with 3 cups flour. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 5 minutes. Good served with Lemon Sauce.

LEMON SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
4 tbsp. flour
1 egg, beaten
1/3 c. lemon juice

Cook in double boiler about 10 minutes. Then add 2/3 cup cold water and 2 tablespoons butter. Chill. When ready to serve add 1 teaspoon lemon rind, fold in 1/2 pint whipped, whipping cream.
