CHOCOLATE - PEANUT CAKE 
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
Chocolate Peanut Frosting (recipe follows)

Combine flour and sugar in large bowl; set aside. Combine water, butter, shortening and cocoa in heavy sauce pan; bring to a boil. Pour chocolate mixture over flour mixture; blend well. Add next 5 ingredients; mix well. Pour into greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 400 degrees 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool. Spread Chocolate Peanut Frosting over cake.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT FROSTING:

1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. milk
16 oz. pkg. sifted 10x sugar
1 c. salted peanuts, chopped
1 c. flaked coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine cocoa, butter and milk in a heavy sauce pan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in 10x sugar, peanuts and coconut. Mix well and add vanilla. Makes enough for top of 13 x 9 inch cake.
