PEANUT BUTTER SPICE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 c. light brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. applesauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, peanut butter and sugar; beat in eggs. Combine dry ingredients. Add alternately with applesauce to sugar mixture, beating well each time. Bake in two greased 9-inch pan, 35 to 40 minutes. Cool. Frost.

PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING:

1/2 c. peanut butter
1/3 c. milk
1 c. brown sugar, packed
3 c. confectioners' sugar

In a medium saucepan, melt peanut butter over very low heat. Blend in brown sugar and milk. Remove from heat; stir in confectioners' sugar. Makes 2 1/2 cups.
