KANSAS CITY SALAD 
1 head lettuce
1/2 c. celery, diced
1/2 c. green pepper, diced
1/2 c. Bermuda onion, sliced
1 box green peas

DRESSING:

1 c. mayo
2 tbsp. sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded cheese
1/4 c. bacon, fried & crumbled

Chop lettuce, dice celery and green pepper. Slice onion and cook peas according to directions. Layer in glass bowl, starting with lettuce. Mix mayo and sugar, spread over top. Cover with foil. Refrigerate for 24 hours before serving. Just before serving, put cheddar cheese and bacon on top.
