FRIED CORN 
12 ears fresh corn, cut from cob
1/4 c. butter
2 tbsp. bacon drippings
3/4 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Heat butter and bacon drippings in a skillet until hot. Add corn, water, salt and pepper. Cook uncovered over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 10-12 minutes or until liquid is absorbed stirring frequently.

Makes 10 servings.
