FRIED APPLE PIES (TARTS) 
4 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. cooking oil
1/2 c. cold water
1 egg
1 pkg. dried apples
Cinnamon
Sugar

Work up with hands until dough is of good consistency. Roll out and cut circles about 6 inches in diameter. Cook dried apples and cool. Place cooked dried apples on 1/2 of circle. Pinch together and mash with fork around the edges. Fry in deep fat and drain on paper towels.
