FRIED ONION RING BATTER | |
1/2 cup flour 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. cornstarch 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1 egg 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 cup iced water with ice chips Beat eggs, add dry ingredients and mix well. Add water with a few thin ice chips. Slice onions into rings 1/3 inch thick. Separate rings. Dip into batter and fry in deep hot oil at 355-365°F. For crunchy onion rings, dip battered onion rings into semolina flour. Submitted by: Belle |
