MUFFINS (RAISIN BRAN) 
1 c. whole bran cereal
3/4 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 c. soft shortening
1 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. seedless raisins

Sift dry ingredients; mix well. Mix together only until all dry disappears. Fold in raisins. Bake in greased muffin pan in hot oven (400 degrees) for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 1 dozen.
