POLVORONES (MEXICAN WEDDING
COOKIES)
 
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 c. flour
1/4 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Powdered sugar

Cream butter and 1/4 cup powdered sugar, add vanilla, pecans, mix well, add flour and work (knead until all flour is gone). Divide into 4 parts, make six balls from each part. Bake at 300 degrees until lightly browned 20 to 25 minutes. Before completely cooled roll in powdered sugar.

Makes 2 dozen cookies.
