BISCOCHITOS (MEXICAN WEDDING
COOKIES)
 
6 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. anise
2 c. lard
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
6 to 7 tbsp. water

Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix well. Roll dough out on a floured surface and cut into circles with a round cookie cutter. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. While still warm, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Yields: 4 dozen.
