PORK CHOPS WITH APPLES 
4 (4 oz.) lean center-cut pork chops, trimmed
1 med. onion, chopped
Vegetable cooking spray
1 1/4 c. water
1 tsp. chicken-flavored bouillon granules
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 med. cooking apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Brown pork chops and onion in a large skillet coated with cooking spray.

Combine water, bouillon granules, and pepper, stirring to dissolve; add to skillet. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Skim off fat. Add apple slices and cinnamon to mixture in skillet. Cover and simmer an additional 15 minutes. Transfer to a serving platter, and serve hot. Yield: 4 servings.

Each serving: 1 chop with 3/4 cup apples. Exchanges: 1 1/2 starch, 1 medium- fat meat. 182 calories. 25 gm. carbohydrates, 12 gm. protein, 4 mg. fat, 1 gm. fiber, 43 mg. sodium, 36 mg. cholesterol.
