GRANDMA'S BLUE RIBBON BANANA
CAKE
 
1/2 c. butter (softened)
1-1/2 c. sugar
1 c. mashed bananas
2 eggs (separated)
1/2 c. sour milk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and vanilla. Next, add sour milk followed by the dry ingredients. Roll nuts in a little flour, and add to batter. Fold in beaten egg whites. Add bananas.

Bake at 325°F for 25 minutes. Increase to 350°F and bake for 20 more minutes, or until done in center. When cool, frost with butter cream frosting.
