BARBECUED SPARE RIBS | |
3-4 lb. pork ribs, cut in pieces 1 lemon, sliced 1 lg. onion, sliced 1 c. catsup (Heinz preferred) 1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. salt 2 c. water 2 dashes Tabasco sauce if desired Place ribs in shallow roasting pan. Place sliced lemon and onion over ribs. Combine rest ingredients and bring to boil. Set aside. Bake ribs for about 45 minutes to 1 hour in 350 degree oven. Pour hot sauce over ribs and bake until tender. Approximately another hour. Baste ribs with sauce occasionally. If sauce gets too thick, thin with a little water. (This makes a large portion of sauce. I use half recipe for medium amount of ribs.) |
