BARBECUED CHICKEN OR SPARE RIBS 
1 c. sliced onion
1 c. catsup
1 c. water
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. dry mustard
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. paprika

Combine all ingredients. Pour over chicken pieces or spare ribs. Baste during baking time.

IF USING CHICKEN: Brown 2 medium sized chickens in frying pan, then transfer to a shallow baking pan and bake at 350 degrees uncovered, for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.

IF USING SPARE RIBS: Brown 4 pounds spare ribs in frying pan. Transfer to a covered baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 1 3/4 hours and then uncovered for 15 minutes.

Leftover sauce may be cooled and grease removed. Freeze for later use such as adding to canned baked beans or sauce for frankfurters, etc.
