PINWHEELS 
1 sheet Pepperidge Farm frozen Puff Pastry, thawed 20 min.
1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp. water
Granulated sugar
Raspberry or strawberry preserves

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. On a lightly floured surface, roll pastry to a 15 inch square. Cut into twenty-five, 3 inch squares. Use a sharp knife to slit all 4 corners of each square 1 1/2 inches towards the center, making 8 points. Fold every other point into the center of the square to form a pinwheel. Press down firmly in the center, brush with egg mixture and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Transfer to an ungreased baking sheet. Place 1/4 teaspoon of preserves in center of each pinwheel. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Makes 25 pinwheels. Can also be made with savory fillings such as pates and cheese spreads. Omit the granulated sugar.
