PUMPKIN COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. solid packed pumpkin
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins

Mix all ingredients together. Mix well, drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 or 12 minutes.

FROSTING:

Bring 3 tablespoons butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar to a boil. Boil 1 minute or until thickened. Spread over cookies.
