COLORADO CHILI 
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 can pinto beans, rinsed off
1 (12 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (12 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. cumin
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/4 c. picante sauce
Salt to taste
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef and half of the chopped onion. Drain. Add the beef mixture and the rest of the ingredients, except the cheese, in a crock pot. Use spices more or less to taste. Cook 2 hours on high. Serve in bowls. Sprinkle with cheese. Great with nachos or warmed, buttered tortillas.

Made this using Del Monte 15 oz Chipotle stewed tomatoes, 15 oz tomato sauce and a little beef broth to be sure my larger batch of meat was covered in crock pot. Cooked on low for 6 hours and it was amazing!
