QUICK CHILI - 1 HOUR | |
3 tbsp. hot olive oil 2 lbs. lean ground beef 1 lg. onion, diced 1 green pepper, diced 2 ribs celery, diced 1 tsp. black pepper 2 tsp. salt 4 tsp. chili powder (hot) 2 tsp. cumin seed 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. thyme Dash of Worcestershire sauce Dash of soy & Peychaud's bitters 1 lg. can tomatoes, chopped 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 lg. can mushroom bits & pieces, drained 2 or 3 cans hot chili beans 1 c. dry wine (red or white) All can be cooked at once and simmered 1 hour. No need to brown meat or saute vegetables. |
