MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. molasses (pure), no waffle syrup or such
3/4 c. evaporated milk (Carnation)
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
4 c. plain flour

Mix all the spices, soda and flour. Set aside (overnight or 8 hours) to marinate.

Cream sugar and Crisco. Add molasses and mix well. Add flour and milk to molasses mixture, alternately with flour last. Chill about 1 hour. Pinch off about the size of a walnut. Roll in sugar and press with glass. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 10 or 12 minutes or until lightly brown. Do not over cook.
