FROZEN PARTY 
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and dust with sugar 2 pie plates, 9 x 1 1/4 inches or 2 round pans, 9 x 1 1/2 inches. Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Pour into pie plates. Bake until cake springs back when touched lightly in center (pie plates 25-30 minutes, rounds 30-35 minutes). Cool completely.

Freeze 1 layer for future use. Spread 1 pint ice cream or sherbet, softened, over other cake layer. Immediately wrap in aluminum foil, freeze until firm, at least 4 hours. Just before serving, remove cake from freezer and unwrap. Top with favorite fruit; serve immediately. Freeze any remaining party cake.

Suggestions: This party cake is great! At Christmas, I put green or red sherbet for Christmas colors, or red or white for a 4th of July cook out. You can stick 5-6 sparklers in it and light. Orange for Halloween, etc.

Also, works well in a 13 x 10 inch pan and with regular ice cream.
