SPARERIBS AND GRAVY | |
1 1/2 lb. spareribs remove fat cut into pieces 2 c. water 1 clove garlic 4 tbsp. tomato sauce 3 tbsp. fat, fried from ribs 1 med. onion, chopped 1/2 green pepper, chopped 1 celery, cut 1" 1 carrot, cut 1" 1/2 tsp. salt & pepper 2 tablespoons fat brown spareribs lightly. 1 tablespoon fat brown onions and peppers lightly. Cover ribs, onion, peppers, garlic, tomato sauce, water, salt, pepper and simmer 1 hour. Add celery and carrots. Simmer another hour or until ribs are tender. Serves 3. Serve with boiled or mashed potatoes. |
