CALIFORNIA STYLE SPARERIBS 
2 to 4 lb. spareribs
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 c. water
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 onions
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. tomato ketchup
2 tbsp. lemon juice
Dash of Tabasco sauce
2 lemons, sliced

Cut ribs in pieces, place in roasting pan. Brown at 450 degrees for 30 minutes. Melt butter in saucepan; saute garlic for 1 minutes, add remaining ingredients and bring to boil. Pour fat from ribs. Place onion and lemon on ribs. Pour sauce over and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Baste occasionally.
