CUSTARD 
9 beaten egg yolks
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
6 c. scalded milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Combine egg yolks, sugar and salt; stir in scalded milk. Cook over hot water, stirring constantly, until mixture coats a spoon. Remove from heat; add vanilla. Chill and it is ready to drink.

This is a good way to use the egg yolks left after making an angel food cake.
