PESTO SAUCE FOR PASTA | |
2 c. firmly packed basil leaves 3/4 c. fresh Parmesan cheese, grated 1/2 c. pine nuts 4 lg. cloves garlic 1/2 c. olive oil Put first 4 ingredients in food processor. With processor running add 1/2 cup olive oil in a slow stream. Ideas for serving: Toss sauce with steamed vegetables, pasta, fresh chopped tomatoes or add sauteed chicken strips or shrimp for non-vegetarian main course. |
