BAKED OKRA 
okra
1 tsp. salt
2 heaping tbsp. cornmeal
1 rounded tbsp. flour
2 level tsp. bacon drippings
1 pat butter

Wash okra good and while wet, slice in 1/2-inch slices. Add salt, cornmeal and flour. Stir this in with a spoon. Have ready 1 medium size, hot frypan that has bacon drippings. Let okra heat 2 or 3 minutes, then stir lightly. Place on top of okra the 1 pat of butter. Set this pan of okra in hot oven. Cook only 30 minutes at 350°F.
