CHOCOLATE POTATO NUT CAKE | |
3/4 c. butter 2 c. sugar 4 eggs, beaten separately 1/2 c. milk 2 c. flour 1 c. mashed potato 2 tsp. baking powder 1 c. nuts 2 sq. chocolate 1 tsp. cloves, nutmeg & cinnamon Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour three layer or 9 x 13 inch pans. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks. Add cooled potato. Add chocolate. Mix all dry ingredients together. Mix in alternately with milk. Add nuts. Blend carefully beaten egg whites. Bake 50-60 minutes. Cool. Cut layers/loaf in 1/2. Fill with Cream Filling. Frost with Fudge Frosting. Serves 25. |
