TOM'S HEARTY CHILI 
1 lb. ground beef
2 (16 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 (64 oz.) cans tomato juice
2 (15 oz.) cans red kidney beans
1 med. sized onion, finely chopped
1 green pepper, finely chopped
5 med. carrots, sliced
4-5 med. potatoes, cubed
1 (28 oz.) can peeled tomatoes, diced
Pinch of salt and pepper
Cayenne pepper (to taste)
1 tbsp. sugar

Brown beef and drain. Put in large soup pot. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Simmer over low heat for 3-4 hours.
