MY MOTHER'S POUND CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
1/2 c. butter
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 c. milk
3 c. cake flour (Soft as Silk)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Have all ingredients at room temperature.

Cream Crisco and butter. Add sugar and gradually cream. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Sift flour and baking powder. Add flour mixture and milk gradually, beating well after each addition. Add flavoring. Beat 2 or 3 minutes.

Pour in a greased and floured tube pan. Bake about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done at 350 degrees.
