Combine in top of double boiler 1/2 pound (about 28) light colored caramels and 1/4 cup Pet evaporated milk. Heat until caramels melt, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in 1/4 cup butter, 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 cup pecans, chopped.
