1 pkg. family size brownie mix 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 egg 1/3 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla Prepare brownie mix as directed on package. Combine softened cream cheese and sugar mixing until well blended. Stir in vanilla and egg. Spread half of brownie mix into greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Cover with cream cheese mixture. Spoon on remaining brownie batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Makes 4 dozen bars. | |

This recipe has been a family staple at any gathering that we have had for over 30 years. It has just enough chocolate and the cream cheese sets it off. It is a little tricky to make to get the cream cheese in between the layer of brownie mix because of have little of the brownie mix there is well worth the effort. Merry Christmas!
